I'm calling this the 'Oh Dear' frock because that's what Brian said when he walked in the door, yesterday morning. I can't even remember why but I do remember telling him at the time that's that what I would call the dress. And I think it's suiting.The frock is dark navy blue. The material is thin and finespun. I added a built in nylon liner. I also added a band of opaque navy silk-like material at the bottom.
Pleated ruffled nylon lines the neck and bodice. Four navy fabric covered buttons line the front. An interesting detail are the inverted pleats that surround the front of the bodice. I modeled it after this a cool Modcloth frock I saw a couple weeks ago.
This photo shoot took a lot of muscle on my part. I had to push our bed from one end of the room to the other....by myself! It was a busy morning and Brian was getting ready to go to his mother's house. But you know what? I liked it better there. I tried to convince him to keep it that way but at the end of the day we just ended up pushing it back.
But he did get me this modcloth ring for mother's day (it's an inside thing). So he's good in my book.
